It is a pleasure to welcome you to Milaca!  We are very proud of our community, and we hope you participate in the many community activities sponsored by the chamber and the city.  Milaca is the county seat of Mille Lacs County and is conveniently located in central Minnesota.  Our location provides easy access to the Twin Cities and Saint Cloud, yet we maintain our small town charm.

As a Minnesota Star City, the city is recognized for its leadership in working with local businesses to ensure continued growth.  The city boasts a vibrant downtown business district, and an active industrial park.  Businesses in the community are able to meet the needs of residents and travelers alike.

Milaca arguably has the finest mountain bike trail system in the state.  The fourteen-mile, single-track trails are cut though a park reserve along the beautiful Rum River, and provide challenge to riders of any skill level.  The trails are groomed for cross-country skiing in the winter.

The city offers many amenities for residents and travelers.  The city maintains four municipal parks, with two on the Rum River.  The River is home to a wide variety of wildlife, and activities around the Rum are becoming more popular.  The city also maintains two baseball fields and an outdoor skating rink.
