The county covers 685 square miles. The population is 22,740 (2000 census).
Five commissioners represent the five districts, 17 townships, and eight cities within the county.
Board meetings are held the 1st, 3rd, and 4th Tuesdays of the month in the Commissioner's Room at the Courthouse.
