The Foley Area Chamber meetings are held primarily on the third Thursday of every month and take place at either morning, lunch or evening hours. The meetings are sponsored by a local businesses and are hosted at the sponsoring business' facility. All Chamber members and their guests are invited to attend the monthly meetings. A postcard notice is sent out one week prior to the meeting to those who have asked to be on the reminder list. You may also check the events calendar on this website to see upcoming meetings.
Previous meeting minutes can be viewed here. Registration Because our meetings are sponsored by a local business, there is no cost to attend. However, we do require advanced registration so we can ensure that there is plenty of seating and food available for everyone. Who can be a Host? The opportunity to host a Foley Area Chamber meeting is reserved for Chamber members only. The business sponsor provides a light breakfast or lunch for the meeting participants. The Chamber will provide a post card meeting reminder on behalf of the host business. What to Expect Usually 20-30 people attend a Foley Area Chamber meeting. Everyone who attends has the opportunity to do an introduction at the beginning of the meeting. Then we take two minutes so you can meet someone new or connect with a business associate. Once everyone is settled back into their chairs, we hear a 10-15 minute presentation from our host. This is usually information about their product or service presented in an interesting and educational manner. Following the host we have a second speaker,. This speaker is educational and topics vary widely from a Fun Day Festival update, to easy tips for saving money, to services provided to the community through a local non-profit agency. To meet our mission of bringing business, education and government together, each meeting includes brief updates from the City of Foley, School District 51, and Benton County. There is also time at the end of each meeting for announcements from those in attendance. |
